I need another reason to go to Rushing's Boots in Ferriday. It smells wonderful. These are on my wish list.
Van Halen

Oh, well. That's that. The book came with a handful of cards and a list of addresses.
I have received the loveliest gift book from my community. Take a look at it. It's filled with reproductions of masterworks of religious art from the world's museums. I'd have relished it as a child, too.

I would like to thank the sponsors here. (I am all tired of writing cards, but if you believe you need one, by all means, send a messenger):

 Concordia Bank & Trust Co.
 Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office
 City of Vidalia
 Vidalia Market & Ferriday Market
Ronnie W. Williams of State Farm Insurance
 Young's Funeral Home

Thank you all so much. The book is beautiful and suits my needs.

Whoever heard of a sexy luggage rack? I need something for the rose guest room.
Cowgirl boots
Where are you getting all this money, Janis?

Hunh? Oh. I'm not feeding two sorry overgrown boys and buying them toilet paper and paying off their legal bills. Next question.

Michael was right. I am a bitch. "The Queen of Mean," I tells ya.

Little beauty

DSCN0871[1] by Janis Gore

I found this little copper ewer for $2.50.

Doesn't it have lovely lines?

Pretty little box

DSCN0859[1] by Janis Gore

I found this little cutie at Primitives Unlimited on Franklin Street in Natchez for $4.

Lana Switzer, the artist who painted the canvas on my desk counter, and I went shopping together today. She's a lot of fun and very bright. We laugh together.

Too big pillowcases

DSCN0847[1] by Janis Gore

I need to stitch across the bottom seam on all four. I picked up the wrong sizes and tore up the packaging before I realized.

I do like how I don't have to struggle to get the cases on the pillows.

They're color-coded --  white for extra firm, green for firm and blue for soft.

So, yeah. I'm pulling it together. I pick up the Armani jacket from the tailor
tomorrow. Mmm, mmm, mmm. It will be hard not to sleep in it.

I can barely wait to wear it with my new cowgirl boots (which I've picked out, but haven't bought yet).
